  • The Facts: Brand New Me – Complemented, Completed and Whole: A Guide For Singles and Couples to Grow From Within, written by Chaute Thompson, LMHC, CDWF Restoration Expert, published by Chaute Thompson, Brand New Me, LLC, 167 pages.

  • The Review As someone who has been in a committed relationship for 19 years and married for 15 of those years, I was eager to read Thompson’s book … for many reasons.  Sustaining a long-term love is no small task and as someone who believes that everything worth having is worth working for, my marriage definitely falls into that category.  Thompson’s book is poignant and takes the reader on her personal journey of love, heartbreak, triumph, overcoming challenges and finding your way to the most important and fulfilling love, self-love.  Thompson’s book reminded me of the things I need to avoid doing and potential red flags to pay attention to if I want to keep my relationship healthy and thriving.  The book also inspires hope for when things fall apart and you have to accept letting go.  From a practioner’s standpoint, Thompson’s book provides useful guidance, thoughtful questions, anecdotes, and information to counselors, therapists, social workers, relationship experts and others seeking to identify different tactics and methodological frameworks to support clients as they move through the various stages of relationships and in reframing their client’s experiences with love into better relationships with themselves. There is so much insight and wisdom on these pages that it truly is a gift that keeps on giving.

  • Bottom Line:  You can pick this book up at any point in your relationship cycle whether single, married, divorced or somewhere in between and find useful and timely gems.
